77 Million Paintings: The Long Now Foundation in Second Life

Brian Eno’s 77 Million Paintings exhibit in Second Life

The virtual reception included a live video feed from the San Francisco gallery. Brian Eno made an appearance in both SL and RL, as well as Alexander Rose and a host of other notable members of the Long Now thanks to Cyrus Huffhines [Bryan Campen] at blueair.tv.

The video above includes a terrific moment when Isabelle, Brian’s videographer attending the show in San Francisco, logged on to SL and appeared in the middle of the room as an avatar while being videocast on the screen just behind. The juxtaposition was a shocking glimpse into what might soon be commonplace as 3.d and 3d integrate.
